When your wife leaves you and you discover that she’s also dumped all her lovers… that she’s left you nothing but your dinner in the microwave and things in the freezer that point to you as a dangerous serial killer, you start to wonder and to tell yourself that you absolutely must do something about it. So, with the help of your best friend who, thank goodness, works for the police, your parish priest, a novice ostrich farmer and the unwitting complicity of your mother-in-law, a skilled pork butcher, you go to great lengths to clear your name, even if it means fomenting a plot that could change the diet of the British monarchy and rock the throne of its unfortunate sovereign to its foundations.
